I spent my morning in the Emergency Room at Brackenridge Hospital.

I picked up a rental car this morning a little before 8 am, since my car was in the shop. I had the car for about three minutes and was going back home to shower and get ready for work. I was on 7th street (I live on 9th) and was getting ready to turn left to go home. BAMMMMMM!!! I got hit from behind by a big pickup truck. I had on my glasses and they flew off my face. I couldn't find them for a while until I saw that they landed in the back seat. I was in pain then, and by the time I got to the ER, it was worse. The back part of the Chrysler Sebring that I was driving was pretty much destroyed, and it was a new car with only 3,000 miles. The ER was actually not too bad. It seems that Brackenridge has gotten better since my last visit. The people were really nice and helpful there. And the girl that took my millions of X-rays was very cute!! The cop brought me my license at the hospital and mentioned that he had given the other guy tickets. I'm relieved that he has insurance. I'd hate for my insurance to pick up this tab! I missed work and am currently under the influence of Vicodin. I'm still hurting......
